NOTE: The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has a law on the books which prohibits the sale of motorcycles for youths because of the lead content in the alloys of which they're made or their batteries. Because of public opposition, the CPSC recently voted to stay enforcement of the law for one year, on the federal level. While this is good, there is no indication what the state agencies will do as far as enforcement. Because of this, the legality of selling youth bikes is very much in question.
